Meet them at eye level
Kneel or place the camera closer to the ground. The world becomes theirs: grass feels taller, the sofa feels bigger, and their expression becomes the center rather than the top of their head.
Photograph a habit, not a command
Wait by the window they always check. Follow the route they take through the park. Keep the camera ready near the cupboard that means treats.
Familiar behavior gives you relaxed body language and the expressions you recognize.

Leave some frames untidy
